These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website jyotirmay.org (the "Site"), operated by Jyotirmay Bahuuddeshiya Samajik Sanstha ("we", "us", "our", or the "Society"), a not-for-profit social organization. By accessing or using the Site — including browsing, donating, volunteering, registering an account, or contacting us — you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About Us

Jyotirmay Bahuuddeshiya Samajik Sanstha is a community-driven organization working to uplift socially and economically marginalized communities through education, healthcare, livelihood support, elderly care, and community development programs.

2. Eligibility

The Site is intended for use by individuals who are at least 18 years old, or who are using the Site under the supervision of a parent, guardian, school, or other authorized representative. By using the Site, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Donations

• All donations made through the Site are voluntary contributions to support our charitable programs.
• Donations are processed through third-party payment gateways; by donating, you also agree to the terms of the applicable payment processor.
• Donations are generally non-refundable, except where required by law or where a donation was made in error (e.g., duplicate transaction or technical error), in which case please contact us within a reasonable time at the details below.
• Donation receipts, and information about any applicable tax exemption for donations made in India, will be provided or made available where applicable. Donors are responsible for determining the tax treatment of their donation in their own jurisdiction.
• We aim to apply donations toward our stated programs (education, healthcare, livelihood, elderly care, and community development) but reserve the right to allocate funds where the need is greatest, consistent with our charitable objectives.

5. Volunteering and Membership

• Submitting a volunteer or membership application does not guarantee acceptance; we may accept or decline applications at our discretion.
• Volunteers and members are expected to act in accordance with our values of dignity, inclusion, and respect toward beneficiaries, staff, and fellow volunteers.
• We may set additional guidelines, codes of conduct, or agreements for volunteers and members, which will be communicated separately where applicable.

6. Accounts

If the Site allows you to create a login account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, videos, and the Site's design — is owned by or licensed to Jyotirmay Bahuuddeshiya Samajik Sanstha, unless otherwise indicated, and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and share content from the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes, provided you do not modify it and you credit the Society as the source. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.

8. User-Submitted Content

If you submit stories, testimonials, photographs, or other content to us (including through volunteer or contact forms), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and publish that content on the Site and our social media channels for purposes connected with our charitable mission, unless you notify us otherwise in writing.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, payment processors, and social media platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp) that are not owned or controlled by us. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
